I know that therapy and mindfulness/meditation/relaxation aps are becoming more popular. Do you have any you recommend to patients and have found to be helpful? Particularly for pts after they learn the basic skills in individual therapy and want to reinforce them, or to practice skills between sessions?

Also, do you use any aps in your own practice and that found to be helpful from a professional development standpoint? Thanks so much!

Specifically for Mindfulness:

Five Free Mindfulness Apps Worthy of Your Attention

I downloaded Calm a long time ago, but found it to offer very few free meditations, so I dumped it (I'm not willing to pay for a subscription). Omvana has more free options (you can download more free ones than the initial offerings), and the above list has a few free apps I've not tried yet, but plan to. My strong suggestion is that you personally download the apps you plan to advise clients use so that you know how they work and test them out for effectiveness yourself.

I still have PE Coach (from Prolonged Exposure training) but haven't done a round of PE since my training 3 years ago.
