Hi everyone, I am starting my Psychiatry residency this summer. I have really enjoyed everyone's postings of great Psychiatry texts and I have a great list to begin with however I would like to know the best books for us interns.

by Shawn Christopher Shea

Read it annually (at least). The principles of interviewing on this KEY topic are also applicable to other aspects of obtaining psychiatric HPIs.

Motivational Interviewing by Miller and Rollnick

Skills Training Manual for Treating Borderline Personality Disorder -- by Marsha M. Linehan
