Hey everyone, I'm a nontraditional (hopeful) applicant who had to go back and basically relearn most of the topics for the MCAT since it's been a while since I took the prerequisites. I have used EK for baseline knowledge, TBR for passage practice (I've completed all of gen chem, orgo, and most of physics TBR passages), and TPR for extra reading. I took a rigorous physiology course and a genetics course this last spring as a post-bacc and did well, so bio has been my last priority in terms of preparation, but I know I am fairly weak on cellular/molecular/respiration topics. I read through EK Bio once just to freshen up prior to my first full length AAMC (#3) in which I got a 36 (13 PS, 12 VR, 11 BS). I am signed up for the 11/7 test. I know bio is going to be my next focus, so does anyone know the best resource for someone who has mediocre knowledge on molecular topics? I have heard that EK has everything you need to know, but I'm concerned that this may only really be the case for full-fledged biology majors. TBR has been helpful for me thus far, but I don't want to kill myself over it if it's too in-depth. Does anybody have insight on this? Thank you all for your help! 🙂

definitely Princeton Review is by far the best Biology review book I've invested in. It does go into details like TBR but not too much but it does an awesome job at explaining every single concept.

I really like TPR because it is very readable. Thank you for your input! If anyone else has any idea as to the best resource for cellular bio, please chime in.
