Best DAT Study Materials to use

Hi everyone,

So I am planning to take my DAT around mid June and I am getting all my materials together so I can start studying asap. I come from a low income household and work on the side so I'm not trying to spend too much money but want to make put myself in the best position without having to pay too much. So far I will be purchasing PATBooster and DAT destroyer and will have my notes from school to use but I'm not sure if I should pay for Chad's videos too? Any help would be appreciated.

Chads are very good and cheap ($10 if I recall). The material and quizzes were very helpful for chemistry refreshers

Chads videos were awesome for gen chem and ochem. The destroyer is really good for gen chem, ochem and QR, but I personally didn’t find the bio to be too helpful. That being said you should go through the bio section at least once if you’re not using bootcamp. I also used the old feralis notes for bio, which are free, and I thought they were great.

Be sure to get some RC practice in. Find a good strategy for RC and stick with it!!! I personally didn’t like any of the strategies I came across so I had to make my own strategy. Just be sure to get some practice with this section, and find a strategy that works well for you!

I can understand why you might not want to use DAT bootcamp, I heard they increased their price to $500. At that price I don’t really think it’s worth it. Just find as many free practice tests as you possibly can online to get a feel for the structure of the real test.

You should also look into buying the DATqvault bio exams. I found these exams to be harder than the real DAT, but their application questions are good at preparing you for the application questions on the real DAT. I felt like the DAT bootcamp exams were lacking when it came to the application style of questions.

Chad's videos are fantastic but to be honest, they are available for free on youtube so there isn't a reason to purchase them. I would stick to using just DATDestroyer, PATBooster, and free Chad's videos.
