which program you guys interviewed at do you feel has the best lifestyle during residency? best hours/ best rapport between residents and faculty/best facilities/ best town.

Don't know where you're looking. Two great lifestyle programs are U of Louisville (KY) and Greenville South Carolina. The last program is an incredible community program. Ton's of work to do, but great hours to do them in. Incredible environment. Great residents from solid schools (UNC, UAB, etc). Definitely worth a look if considering lifestyle.

also, Greenville matched a resident to MD Anderson GYNONC. Not bad.

Scott & White in Temple, Texas offers excellent life outside medicine. Q14 as an intern, Q28 your 2nd and 3rd year (outside your 3 total months of nightfloat). Only 1 hospital to cover. Only 1 month of off-service work (outpatient Family). You can buy a nice house in a nice neighborhood for under $120K, 5 min from the hospital.

It is a BIG hospital in a little town. There is not much to do in Temple, but Austin is 45 min away, Waco and Killeen are closer. The facilities are old, but they are building a new hospital with a new L&D that will be ready in 1.5 years.
