Best Navy base for single guy?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
anywhere you go, there's going to be lots of other single guys. 😀

I'm dental Navy HPSP. It looks like the most common assignments are; Bethesda, Virginia Beach, Camp Lejeune, Great Lakes, San Diego, Camp Pendleton, Japan and maybe Bremerton.

Where's the best place to be a single dude? I'm highly suspicious of Virginia Beach or the San Diego area, because I have a feeling that the "ratio" is highly unfavorable considering the large military populations. It seems that Bethesda and Great Lakes may actually be better places for the single guy. What do you think?

I'm not military, but if you get a shot at San Diego I'd take it.

IMHO its wanna the most beautiful places in the US.

And LOTS of young, healthy, lifestyle oriented people there.

Definitely California.
I was in the Marine Corps and loved everyday I spent at Pendleton. You can go surfing in the morning, skiing in the afternoon (bear mountain) and hit the casino (Vegas) all in the same day. Weather is always beautiful and in terms of ratio....there are so many women in Cali, and most dig military guys.

1) San Diego
2) San Diego
3) San Diego

Thank me later

edit: Yeah, the ratio of guys:girls in SD is skewed towards more dudes, but there are just so many beautiful women, if you are even one-quarter successful you'll clean up. The competition is generally dudes who live in pacific beach and don't have jobs.

If you want a little exotic go to Japan. Although it really depends which base you are talking about? Some can be rather isolated.

Bethesda is good also b/c you can live in DC and head up for work. DC is a great town for singles.
