What do you guys suggest as a review book for nuero? I'm taking it right now and it would be nice to use a supplement to tie things together in a concise manner.

Has anybody used Clinican Neuroanatomy Made Ridiculously Simple? I hear about High-Yield Neuro? Which is best to use while you are taking the course.

I like ridiculously simple. It's like neuro for dummies. Nice easy diagrams, but not a whole lot of detail.

Are you guys using an actual textbook as well? Or just straight lecture notes and review book? I hear blumenfeld is really good, but I'm not much of a textbook person nor do I have much time to read (since I am committing myself to read the physio textbook this block).

Majority of folks from the Step I board use HY Neuro which I also recommend. BRS and ClinicalNMRS are both pretty long but OK for following along in class. HY is more concise but is well written, ideal for board study.

when i took it last year i used my class notes to actually learn and then used HY to review for the shelf. it was a very quick "oh yeah, i remember that now" sort of book

I use Manter and Gatz's as my reference textbook, but our lecturer is pretty freaking awesome. He authored the CNS chapter (as well as others) for Big Robbins. He really knows his stuff, is a fantastic lecturer, and his notes are usually sufficient.
