I did my clinical years at Atlanta Medical Center and in my opinion it deserves to stay at the bottom of your list.

As a medical student I was not treated with much respect most of the time, and it seems like the people working there are not very happy. If you want to be in the Atlanta area try Emory.

Evanston: more middle-class to upper middle-class patients. less minority and have insurance. located in great area near Lake Shore.

Cook County/loyola/provident: indigent, poor, more minorities, and no insurance. Uh. facilities in not so nice areas. I hope this is not offensive.

Don't know if that helped?

There're all good. Go with your location preference. 😉

Thanks guys for posting. So, based on responses thus far, UIC/Christ and Northwestern (Evanston), both in the Chicago area, are overall better environments to learn...

Anyone else with thoughts on the programs I listed? How are the Uni. of Texas programs in Houston and Dallas??? and also UPMC Shadyside (pittsburgh)??

don't mean to be a pain in the arse, but have you posted this in the FP forum...they may have more helpful responses.....

thanks for you input medla but the FP forum is not very actively viewed and responses are hard to come by. Plus, I'd be happy to just get some info on the hospital and area as well.
