best psych book for rotations/shelf exam

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
St Francis guide is good for rotations, so is current clinical strategies. Blueprints is good for the exam. I also read Kaplan and Saddock during my rotation, but I already had the book from first year.

Blueprints is pretty good and a quick read. I would say BRS is overall more complete. Do not bother with Kaplan and Sadock...it is way to much. I think Appleton and Lange question book was a good representation of the type of questions and difficulty you'll encounter on the exam. When I was a student, I read BRS and the A&L question book and did very well on the shelf exam...

Good luck...
