Hi!
I'm an first year medical student. I've used Anki since undergrad, and I've become rather accustomed to it. Right now, I'm basically taking gross anatomy and biochemistry. What I've been doing currently for my classes is using Anki to make cards based upon my lecture notes. I've been basically been hovering around the class average on my exams (about a 85%), in that I'm sometimes above or sometimes below.. I've been looking into using something like firecracker/Zanki/bros to prep for boards and enhance my understanding, but I'm not sure if I can maintain it in addition to the anki cards I make. Also, I find that Anki's spaced repetition software is slightly better than firecracker. We don't really start systems-based review until January of M1. Should I just keep doing what I'm doing, and then start to use one of those other resources as soon as systems start? Which do you think would be the best resource to use during this period?
