Best source for embryology...?

So we have covered much embryology already and I just don't know what is going on in that class. I've pretty much had to regurgitate all the terms on the tests without understanding. Our embryology professor just doesn't make sense to me and I own The Developing Human, which I don't much care for either. Is there a source/book to learn embryology from scratch that is heavily simplified? This is the first class I have come across in my life where I am literally lost.

We used Langman Medical Embryology - it's a small text book and is very easy to read. I think you can get a PDF copy for free online - just google it.

Good book, and helps make the connections between Embryology and Anatomy that make learning both much easier.

Embryology is low yield on step 1, by the way. I had like 1 or 2 questions about it.

There is a decent amount of embryology in the BRS Gross Anatomy book. Two birds one stone, and its simplified.

Embryo is TOUGH depending on how in depth your class goes. But I agree, it is low yield for USMLE/COMLEX. I used Langman's as well as class notes and got through.
