1. Best spiral notebook brands with minimal bleedthrough?

Also comes in different colors for the front cover, has a folder section in the front, and is a relatively good price?

I use one color per class for notebooks. I use uniball signo black pens and five star mead spiral notebooks. I'm just looking for another notebook brand with less bleedthrough.

Yes, I know a pencil has less bleedthrough. I think being able to use a pen is worth it.

2. What is your favorite pen brand for school?

I hate pens.
Pencils all the way. I got like 4-5 of those Kuru Toga mechanical pencils.
I would suggest binders, easier to find and take out if you have dividers ( I don't even use dividers lol I'm so unorganized)

I've found that writing in pencil fades / smudges over time, I bought a few boxes of Pentel EnerGel pens off Amazon, writes fast and it's a pretty substantial pen.

Having a good pen is definitely under-rated...

I've never had a bleedthrough problem with Mead Five Star single-subject spirals. They're not cheap, but they're what I would go with; since you've ruled them out though, I can't recommend anything else.

However, Pilot G2 Extra Fine 0.5mm pens. Former debaters know Pilot G2 is the pen king.

Martha Stewart spiral. Best notebooks that Ive found other than European and Chinese brands. I use sharpies fountain pens and pourous point and rarely have bleed through except with dark sharpies. Very smooth paper. $6.99 at staples. I stock up in case they ever stop making them, that's how great they are. Rhodia is good too but very expensive

Also they have nice hard waterproof covers and a durable inner folder pocket.

Best pens: jetpens.com has an amazing selection. I use staedtler porous point and the occasional gel or fountain pen. Stardtler doesn't bleed through and they are very bold and smooth, tons of colors

1. My plan is to try red n black, martha stewart, and maybe a few more brands so I can get 4 colors total. What is the best way to get 4 colors of high quality notebooks total?

2. How are red n black's bleedthrough levels? I am thinking of trying some.

3. >>European and Chinese brands

Which of these brands are good in terms of bleedthrough and color variety? I only need 4 colors total.

4. >> http://rhodiapads.com/buynow.shtml

So once I get here how do I get the notebooks?

5. >>jetpens.com, Pilot G2 Extra Fine 0.5mm pens. Former debaters know Pilot G2 is the pen king, Kuru Toga mechanical pencils

How are they compared to uniball signo black? So far I have been extremely happy with uniball signo black micro 207 - very thin and buttery smooth, very little hand strain and no smear. I don't really see myself changing to mecha pencils or another pen brand unless you guys think it is definitely worth a try and feel significantly better than uniball signo micro 207.

Is it worth it to experiment with other pens/mecha pencils?

Jet pens has the best European and Chinese notebooks that Ive found, pretty expensive though. Martha Stewart has great color variety in notebooks, I have like 8 different colors and a huge stock pile of blank ones in case they stop making them. Staelder porous point are my favorite pens, amazon staples and jetpens has them

My favorite spiral notebook is an old tops brand engineering notebook I found in the garage. It's mostly for rewritten notes that are worth keeping. The pages are very large and the paper is heavy. I feel like red and black has good paper in their notebooks but I haven't tried it.

I personally use hole punched copy/printer paper. I don't think it bleeds thru if you buy like the second cheapest one.

I have a bucket of pens from retail stores and jetpens. My favorite of the moment is the hi tec c maica set cause it's 0.3 fine point.
