I'd like to know what you all think the best source is to prepare for CK, and why?

USMLE World qbank

the questions are similar to the real exam

no i meant the studying notes. Kaplan/Blueprints/NMS?

i agree with the above...none of those are necessary if you do USMLE world and take good notes, because those give REALLY good detailed answers I learned a lot doing

but I hear crush or secrets is the way to go if u need something to read

My main study tool was USMLE world questions, supplemented with crush step 2 and an old copy of Board & Wards for Steps 2 & 3.

USMLEWorld is key and the book is just gravy. I used First Aid but I think Board & Wards is a solid choice as well. I didn't like Crush but it is a popular choice and completely sufficient if your score isn't important (ie. if you're taking it around this time).

So far I have heard the following sources to be good for Step II

1. UW (a must do thing)
2. Boards and wards for step 2 and 3
3. Crush or secrets step II - choose based on which format works for you
(can chose either 2 or 3 OR 2 and 3..depends how much time you have)
4. If still have time then Kaplan QBook and
5. if still have time..do the kaplan notes or FA for step II (i think it doesn't have surgery notes in it so you might have to buy FA for surgery as well but i am not too sure on this one)

but i have heard 1, 2, 3, and 4 should be more than enough,.

Good luck

Please do as much of USMLE World as you can. It's all I used (~50% of Qs due to time constraints) and I fared quite well.
