I'm trying to integrate some of the principles of social psychology (particularly the cognitive bias stuff) and personality psychology into my psychiatric practice. I have found a lot of psychiatrists are a bit clueless regarding social psychology and things such as attribution errors, dispositional attribution, self-serving bias, etc.

My question, then, is what are considered the, "best" books for social and personality psychology? I vaguely remember my social psych class in undergrad used a thin, orange book but I can't remember how good it was. Any advice or recommendations?

The David Myers one (simply called, Social Psychology) is a fantastic text.

Agreed. I teach an undergrad social class and I've been using Myers for years. He has a standard text, as well as a mini version, I think it's called Fundamentals of Social Psychology. There's another good book by Saul Kessin and several others which is also quite popular.
