If a school says you never sent GRE scores but you have confirmation (email & view account online) that ets sent them, plus other schools ordered at the same time received your scores...what is the best thing to do ? call ets? call the school? do I need to pay another $20?

Call the school with the receipt in hand (maybe send it to them). Ask them what you should do because a mistake obviously occured. Maybe scan and send them a copy, while you resend from ETS?

ETS will send another score report for free if the school never receives it

Thanks! I called ETS and even though the wait was huge, the rep was great.

ETS is re-sending them for free as a (one time) courtesy.

i would mail a photocopy of the ETS confirmation mailed to you.

then call ETS and try to talk to someone?

fax a copy immediately + include confirmation information, then re-send

I feel your frustration. I've been having some trouble with my programs not communicating well with their graduate school office. Department says they haven't received something, graduate school does.

This whole process is a headache!

I scanned and sent one a pdf of the confirmation. It's frustrating as the deadlines are today (it is actually two schools that had this problem).

I will call someone at the second school tomorrow and maybe the first one as well, as the only email I could find for the graduate college was pretty generic.

did you actually receive the scores yourself? because every time ETS sends out scores they send you another copy of your scores. If you didn't receive it yourself then you might want to contact ETS.

But on the most part, schools understand if scores are late (even though they say there is a strict deadline), it happens much more often than you would think.

sometimes schools dont really update their online information (whether they received the stuff or not)

I had a similar problem with one of my schools today. From what I gathered, it's likely that it's not showing up in their system yet because of the way they get the scores.

If I understand correctly, a lot of schools have a computer program that they run once a week, which downloads the GRE scores of anybody who has submitted their application -- the scores don't show up when you start an online application, only when you submit it. So in my case, I officially submitted the online application yesterday, which means they haven't downloaded my GRE scores yet because they only do it on fridays. I'm pretty sure they won't hold this against me. Maybe that's what happened with yours?

yeah, what I scanned was what ETS sent me as comfirmation- the scores and showing it had been sent to that school so I think it should do the trick.
