Hi guys/gals,

quick question... I'm interviewing at my top places in early/mid december - would it have been better for me to interview at these places in nov? one of my favorites isn't til the 16th of dec!!!

one program coordinator made the comment to me, try to make the nov. date since that would be "better" for you.. is this how all programs feel?, she did further mention that a january interview would be a bad idea!!! oh no! since I'm still waiting to hear from a couple I'd really like!

I'd love to hear what others think about this? Poety, did the PD explain why interviewing later is "bad?" I'm not sure what the logic is.

oh sorry, it wasnt the PD, it was the coordinator - no, no explanation at all!

I've actually heard (and been a little worried about) just the opposite . . . interviewing too early (e.g. October). I've been told that later interviews often mean you will be more well remembered when it comes to a school's generating match lists. I don't know; my conclusion was just to do a great job interviewing, and the timing shouldn't matter 😀
