Best time to take nbde Part 1?

Hi guys,
I was thinking to take nbde part 1 by this jun or jul,but after going thru these threads I feel most of them are taking the exam by mar,apr,may etc.Is there any advantage in taking the exam earky,I mean for admissions?If anybody knows,kindly tell me which is the best time to take the exam so that I can get admission either for 2006 or if possible for this year?

hi,

According to me the best time to take the exam is in June.Thats if you want to aply to schools who take only part one, if you want to increase your options then you should take part one in may and then part 2 in june, so that you cold apply to the schools that take part one and 2.

Part 2 is kind of tricky and I am not sure if you could do it in 2 months, a better bet would be to take the exam in June.

Jay dent,I know there is another thread with all the dead lines for diiferent schools etc in it with loads and loads of replies 🙂 ,just look for it in the forum.
As for the advantages of taking the exams early are enormous but depends on which shools are your priority.Its best to apply early ,in some schools you may have good scores but if you apply later rather than earlier your chances will be a little lower.

best time for me - may - june. take it on computer,and you will receive your result soon enough to apply almost everywere ,where only part 1 is requred for an aplication. of course at this time you must be done with your toefl with prefferable scores above 250.

Could you guys please clear this. I would like to apply early for programs-if I take the exam in July would I still be able to apply early for 2006. I would really appreciate your opinions.

well, i took mine in middle of june, and i was able to apply almost everywhere on time. and yes, i mean if you want to apply for 2006. last year BU had started accepiting application forms from august the first. so if you take your exam in the beginig of july, you'll probably be abble to apply in BU on time.

I had taken my part 2 in july first week and i felt i was a little on the late side for applying to tufts.So i think by june last week/july first week you should be ready with your SOP and everything else,so that your scores reach them by the time you send in the other stuff.

As far as I remember it is conducted on monday falling in the second week of July. It is better to check out with ADA. Good luck 👍
