I am planning to take the DAT in about 1 year from now, but I feel that those arears (PAT / QR / Comprehension) I can get started on them early on so I can get a whole lot of practise. That way when the 8 weeks of hell (8 weeks preparation for the DAT) comes, I get to mainly focus on my sciences (biology / chem / orgo)

I know my Comprehension is weak, I am a slow reader, I know my QR is good but I fear my slow reading speeds might effect me here. and I can't even begin to describe how "weird" the PAT is.

What are the best tools to use (Barrnes / destroyer / etc) for the 3 mentioned.....

thanks

RC: practice reading anything quickly. push yourself. that's all you can really do to prepare, other than knowing the format of the section and the way it's organized.

QR: read over kaplan section on math, make notes, practice timing yourself. the timing hurt me - I didn't pace myself because I hadn't practiced math at all. reading won't really hurt you here.

PAT: practice from Kaplan to get the idea of what you'll see. for angles, you're basically down to luck on the realy thing. it's really hard to distinguish at the exam.

Good luck.

for PAT it wouldnt hurt to see everything i found that to be my hardest section so try to use Achiever Topscore Kaplan Barrons the more you do the better it comes out. For the QR i would use a mix of Kaplan Destroyer and Topscore. Finally for the reading comp. i would undoubtedbly use Topscore it is very similar to the actual test. Best of luck.

For reading comp. i agree that topscore is the way to go.
QR- the more, the merrier , i plan on using a mix of kaplan, achiever and destroyer(i'll let you know how that turns out)
i havent started the PAT yet but i hear that kaplans questions are a bit too easy.
hope this was helpful
