For those of you who know Philly,

What are some ways to get to UPENN from the airport? Taxi's are always nice and hassle-free, but are there other options?

Thats an excellent question, but one that I'm not able to answer SINCE THEY NEVER GRANTED ME AN INTERVIEW. +pissed+

The cheapest way is to take the R1 airport line ($5) Just follow the signs through the airport to get to the train. It will take you to Philly. Get off at the University City stop. Go up the stairs to your left when you get off the train. Follow the street to the left. At the intersection you will see the children's hospital directly in front of you. Cross the street, turn right. HUP will be on your left, make a left at the next light (Spruce St) The med school is on your left at the next cross walk. Trains leave every half hour check the SEPTA website (www.septa.org).

The more expensive way...take a Cab ($20).

Getting around Philly is not difficult. PM me if you have any more questions.

I agree🙂

I took a cab. What's 20 bucks considering how much we've already spent.

Penn's campus is okay. Many people seem to love Penn. I think it's because USNEWS dictates what we'll love. I found the area surrounding Penn to be a bit depressing. And I went to WAWA on 38th street and was asked by about 3 people for money. Philly is a town that is hurting in many ways.

I would take Lady Liberty. Its 8 bucks and takes you right where you need to go, so you dont have to deal with finding your way from the train station. There is a little booth by baggage claim where they have all the transportation options. Usually takes 5-10 minutes and a van picks you up and takes you where you tell them.
