I've heard these are pretty much a staple with the new testing format and I was kinda hoping that I could just figure it out with the stem of the question but I just had a UWorld question that I pretty much needed to know the sound to figure out. What's the best way to learn these?

I actually felt that FA was pretty good with this.. but I drew out the heart sounds on flash cards and just went through em a hundred times.. I know thats not what you want to hear but thats all I got.. haha..

As an alternative.. there are actually a couple of good Iphone apps (if you have one) as well as websites where you can listen to the actual sound...

I like iMurmur for iPhone if you have one. I feel like it really helped me get them down. Read the physical diagnosis section in the cardio chapter in RR too. Also this guy does a podcast where he explains them all and then you listen to them (Dr. Wilson at Texas Heart Institute). The podcasts are more helpful for the explanations than the actual heart sounds though b/c they are actual recordings from people and they vary and aren't that clear, whereas when you get one on a test they are usually perfectly clear and classic sounding.
