I tried looking around on this forum on how to start preparing for medical school interviews but I could not find anything. How did you prepare for medical school interviews and what resources did you use?

Thanks for the link. I am also concerned about my knowledge about the health care system. I only know the basics of the U.S. and Canadian health care system and I know that the interview will question me about what are some of the biggest problems with health care today, and how can we improve on it in the future. What resources would you recommend looking at to get a better idea on how to answer these questions?

For healthcare information, read Landmark: The Inside Story of America's New Health-Care Law and What it Means for Us All. The Washington Post compiled it, and it gives a great overview of where the healthcare system was before the bill and how it is likely to be affected. GREAT resource - tons of information.

Read interview feedback here, know generally what you would say for the big questions (why you want to be a doctor, strength and weaknesses, etc). Bring your application (primary and secondary) and know it backwards and forwards before your interview.

As far as other things to get ready, I found having good interview clothes (wanted to look good on interview day) gave me more confidence so it was worth spending some money on. That's about it. Oh, and have all your transportation planned out for out of state interviews the day before. It'll cut down on stress the day of the interview.

Thanks a lot for the resource. Any suggestions on Canadian health care system improvements since I'm also applying to Canadian schools?

To prepare for my interviews, I've brainstormed answers to those basic questions: tell me about yourself, why medicine, opinions on current healthcare/healthcare reform. And for each specific school, I've also looked up the details of the program so I can answer the "why this school" question.

For me personally, I've found that having good answers to these 4 questions (and practicing out loud if possible) has been plenty of preparation for interviews.

And ditto the comment on knowing your app frontwards and backwards!
