Hey guys, I am currently a week and an half into DIT (and into my dedicated study period). I'll finish DIT completely (including reviewing every video) by June 1st. My test is on June 15th. I am currently working through DIT and doing UWorld questions at night. I was wondering what you guys feel is the best way spend my last 2 weeks. I've ordered Golgan RR, and I was thinking about going through that. I definitely want to make it all the way through UWorld at least once (hopefully twice). I kind of wanted to use most of the last week doing UWorld questions. I think I would at least like to get through first aid twice in that first 7 days and listen to all of the Goljan audios. I would also like to squeeze in a couple NBME diagnostic tests. A lot of stuff, I know. LOL. So a couple of questions:

How many times do you think is necessary to go through FA and how long will this take?
Do I have time to add Goljan RR? I heard it's pretty dense.
Most importantly, what do you guys feel would be the best way to spend my last week.

This might help you answer: My goal is a 240. Right now I'm hitting 68-72% on UWorld timed blocks. Not sure what this correlates to. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I can tell you what I've been doing in these last few days (I take it on Monday). I'm listening to all of Goljan's lectures with his slides pulled up and my book open, taking notes prn. As well, I'm hammering my weak spots in First Aid and making flash cards over them. Every day I review
my flashcards and the notes I've taken from First Aid. I don't want to do questions because I don't want to psych myself out if I have a bad block this close to test time. As well, I'm steering clear of reading Goljan or cramming ALL of First Aid because frankly, I'm tired of reading and the flash cards and audio lectures are a nice change of pace.

Hope that helps.

Have you already read Goljan RR once?

P.S. Good luck!

I've read through every chapter at least once. Most of the organ systems I've read twice, some three times (cardio and GI/HPB, my weak spots).

I have 13 days from the end of finals to Step 1 and I'm gonna do UWorld again and make one more solid pass through FA. might read RR again, depends if I read it this weekend before the path shelf or not.

What you have posted sounds like a perfect plan if you can get through it. You've got all your bases covered.

Random side note: it is getting REALLY tough to push through these last couple of days. I'm going to be SO glad to get this thing over with.

Do you guys think it would be beneficial if I just made it through Goljan RR once, or do you think my time would be better suited doing more Uworld and another pass thru FA?

This is what I did last two weeks

~300Qs/day of UWorld, 2nd time (only reading marked/checked answers)
about 1 chapter of Robbins Review (for weak subjects)

I just couldn't look at first aid anymore but wanted to keep my brain fresh with info.

When I got to last two days, I just started listening to some Goljan. I was pretty burned out but the 300Q/day training definitely helped me out a lot.

How many times do you guys recommend getting through FA?

Having seen lots of people attest to this exercise, I am gonna take cue and do the same final 2 weeks :xf:

i'm going to be in a similar situation if i stick to my plan. i'll have about 14 days as well after DIT. I will take a UWSA diagnostic and then hit World/FA again till test day. I think that is it. and skim through the blue notes maybe in goljan if i am feeling it. i don't think his audio is quick enough for the points he makes. its a great thing to listen to when your learning everything because he explains most of the mechanisms involved but towards the end i think i'm just gonna cram the facts in.

hopefully i'll have time though because 200+ questions of uworld a day plus hitting FA is already insane if you ask me.
