I actually only used TopScore and Achiever to prepare for the DAT, so I don't know how helpful this will be, but I think it's really good to practice taking all tests as if they were the real thing (timer, with any pace-setting timers OFF), and then reviewing all the problems and answers, regardless of whether you got them right or wrong, while looking up those problem areas in textbooks or study guides.
Something that totally helped me was keeping a huge notebook of all the problems and answers, making note of "why" and "what" the answers were. That way, I could review stuff easily and search through previous questions/answers. 👍
..but then, not every strategy works for everyone. Find what you're comfortable with.
I used the timer function whenever I did any type practice test just so that way I didn't lose track of time (ie=spending 5 minutes on a problem). However, I did keep track of the problems that I did not understand and after the test was completed I went back and reviewed them in depth. This seemed to have worked for me....but do what ever you think will work for you.
