On page 253 of the 2014 first aid it for Hyperglycemia they list Beta Blockers
With the Acronym (Taking Pills Neccesiitates Having Blood Checked)
I cannot figure out the mechanism for this given that B receptors (GS--cAMP--PKA) have a gluconeogenic effect, and anti insulin effect throughout most of the body. I know the major concern is the whole masking the body's response to hypoglycemia. And the treatment for B-Blocker overdose is glucagon. Just wondering if anyone knew the mechanism.
