Simple question, just need clarification... I know B-oxidation occurs in the mitochondria but does it only occur in liver cells or can all cells with a mitochondria perform B-oxidation?

Thanks!

I would assume that most occurs in hepatic mitochondria to become acetyl-coA, and it probably occurs in all cells. However, I would assume the liver would carry bulk of this process.
