We're talking old comics.
The new TV show is categorically good. Its two parts "Twin Peaks" and one part "Dawson's Creek". The saccharine teen romance tropes are easy enough to ignore. Having Jughead reinvented as a troubled teen with a biker dad was brilliant. Everyone in that town has dirty laundry.

For funzies, just change Jughead's name to "Pothead" or "Dickhead".
I'm on season 2, episode 13 now.
It's easy to ignore teenie romance tropes and enjoy the murder mystery.
Keep in mind that like "Twin Peaks", it mocks itself at times.
