EC's:

-Served a two year church mission in a severely impoverished area.
-About 400 hours of service
-Working on the several committees for a cancer kids summer camp
-Working in a hospital setting (ER tech, Radiology clerk, and Lab phlebotomist) for the past 5 years
-48 hours of physician shadowing

Academic:

-TA for human anatomy at school for the past 3 years and the past year as a head TA.
-done plenty of dissections on our cadavers in the anatomy lab
-Doing research this spring/summer

Grades:

3.5 science
3.55 cumm.

MCAT: 28R (VR-9, PS-9, BS-10, R-writing sample)

I assume I am somewhat of a non-trad, I am 26 and have a 2 year old, and another due in October, and have been married for 3.5 years so I figure I have a lot more "life-experience" than a majority of the medical school applicants.

I'm applying to 9 schools, 2 of which are DO and I hope to have my applications in by the end of the month. So what do you all think? Do I stand a somewhat decent chance of getting in somewhere?

You have a shot at MD; however, your best chance is DO. I think you should apply to more DO schools...at least 5.

I agree with demayette's comments. Your chances at MD would be improved if you have a strong upward grade trend and live in a state with a forgiving (less-selective) school. Your nontrad status does help you, as will your very-good ECs.

To emphasize: Consider applying to more schools to maximize your chances of an acceptance in a single season.

Chances for MD might be assumed to be ~38.6% per http://www.aamc.org/data/facts/applicantmatriculant/table24-mcatgpagridall2007-09.pdf
