Bicarb drip with NS drip

Is it common to give a d5 with 100 meq of bicarb with a NS drip?

They should run through separate lines.

Bicarb and LR are definitely incompatible, that I do remember.

Bicarb is compatible with both NS and D5W. But mixing bicarb with NS is completely stupid unless the patient has a low sodium that is being corrected appropriately.
