Hey ya'll.. I had an interview yesterday and everything went really well! The school was great and the interview was pretty laid back. However, after walking back to my hotel I realized that the committee that was interviewing me never asked the basic question "Why do you want to be a dentist" or "why dentistry"... is this bad for some reason? I'm just wondering because I thought they always asked that question? Thanks for any help and sorry if I'm just paranoid!

just make sure to check under your bed for the bug..also make sure there is no wire going into the ceiling from your telephone

p.s. George Bush is in your closet

dude, you're toasted! j/k. three scenarios: 1) they're certain of your interest already, 2) they're certain of your lack of interest already, 3) they don't give a damn b/c you have good numbers and want you.

If you have good stats and portrayed yourself in a good light during the interview, you have nothing to worry about. Chance of getting accepted after the interview (if you're not a weirdo) is high, 20-35%. (I made these numbers up!)

Well everyone and their mom has a pre-thought out answer to that question so not all interviewers want to hear the automated response you'll be spewing out your mouth when they ask that question.

It's a lot more fun to ask other questions that you haven't expected, so you actually answer it on the spot.

haha thanks for the 3 scenarios Dentdeloriente! I feel pretty comfortable with my numbers so hopefully it is either scenario 1 or 3! 🙂

Thanks streetwolf... I didn't really think about it like that so I guess we will just wait and see.
