Odd question...

Does anyone know if there's a book or a website that has a searchable/browseable list of scales and inventories? Like if you wanted a sex role inventory, you'd find Bem, or if you wanted to find something to evaluate stressors, you'd find listings for daily hassles or life events questionnaires?

Does such a list exist?

I actually did find this at some point... but I've lost it. So I know it exists, I just don't know where. Sorry for the unhelpful reply.

Try the Buros Mental Measurement Yearbooks, helpfully located online and in your school library.

What PsyK said, and:

Here's one
http://www.muhlenberg.edu/depts/psychology/Measures.html
And you can google dozens more, or varying quality and comprehensiveness.

When I look for measures, I find it more useful to start by searching for research on the construct I'm interested in, and seeing what other people are using. Often they justify their decision by mentioning one or two related scales, so you can get useful info that way.

(PS I hate the BSRI. Had to throw that out there.)
