Anyone have a tutorial on the basic of billing? I've tried to pick it up as I go but I think I miss things.

I wouldn't worry about billing at this stage... If someone really wants you to know how to bill as an attending or preceptor, they have really lost sight of education.

LMAO I am on my FM rotation, I have learned how to make sure that all Level III follow ups have at least three codes, and that each pt I see even if it is anxiety follow up to look at there head and skin so my PE is documented. It is good to gain some practice if your going into primary care with some of the more used codes.

You realize that in a lot of places, providers are responsible for coding? Yeah, it goes through "financial", but if you/your office person don't put codes on, you have to wait until they feel like seeing if they care if you get paid.
