No. In binary fission, it is basically just the circular chromosome attaching to the plasma membrane and then it replicates and the cell pinches in half leaving two cells with one copy of chromosome. Mitosis involves the replication of individual chromosomes within a nucleus and proceeds through prophase, metaphase, anaphase, and telophase. And mitosis isn't the only part of eukaryotic cell division, it is just part of the cell cycle (G1, S phase, G2, then mitosis).

Maybe you are thinking Cytokinesis? It's the same after you get past how the genetic material is copied.
