Can someone please explain the atom/nucleus with the HIGHEST binding energy per nucleon is going to be the MOST stable?
I figured more energy meant...less stable, perhaps that's just my organic chemistry talking.
Is it because it means that PER nucleon there is a GREATER binding energy, meaning that it can more easily more than nucleus together based on an atom with a LESSER binding energy per nucleon?
Probably just answered my own question, but I want feedback.
