"Which of the following is true for gametes of an individual with the genotype AaBb? Assume no crossing over and independent assortment."

I chose "1/2 AB +1/2ab" since they weren't independently assortment, thus linked.

however, the answer is "1/4AB +1/4Ab +1/4aB + 1/4ab"

Did I just the read the ending wrong?... just no crossing over but still independent assortment.

I think its just the wording tripping you up. Its supposed to be read "no crossing over, but there is independent assortment" because it doesn't have a second "no" before independent assortment. But the wording can be confusing.
