please help me how to do this problem?
2) The relationship between lactic acid and pyruvic acid is that?
a) lactic acid is formed only in milk
b) lactic acid is formed from pyruvic acid in fermentation.
c) one has phosphate and the other doesn't.
d) one is twice as big (6 C's) and the other is (3 C's)
my textbook got D. The thing is lactic acid is not a 6 carbonds group right? I searched, and found only 4 Cs on it.
