Hi, so I just graduated but I still need two more courses, bio 2 and english 2. Not all schools i'm applying to requires them, but the ones that requires them wont replace it with microbio and writing intensive lab class... which kinda sucks.. anyways, instead of taking the classes at my university, i want to take it at a community college in spring 2013 due to money. do you think it will be okay to take it at a community college? it won't look bad or anything??

another thing, so since i'm not taking these courses until spring, should i put it as planned on pharmcas or just update it during open window?

thanks in advance!

Yeah, it is perfectly fine to take lower division courses at a CC. I took most of mine there before transferring to a UC (and saved tons of money!). It won't look bad but if you take lets say Anatomy at a CC, it is considered lower division. For pre-reqs like that and Physiology, I would take at a University level because being considered as upper division looks good on your pharmCAS transcript.

And I would put it as planned for the time being if you know for sure you will take those coursework in spring.

I'm only taking general bio II because it wasn't offered at my university.. so i'm gonna just take it at CC in that case! yay! 😍

I took all my pre req classes at a community college. Not an issue at any of the schools I got interviews too. I went to a 4 year for econ, but decided on pharmacy after graduating.
