So our school recently came up with a new curriculum for Bio majors.

You get to declare one concentration out of 4

Most pre-meds i know are choosing the same concentration, which I also happen to be the most interested in.

However, do you guys think choosing a different concentration would be a better idea...since most of us are Bio majors anyways? There is another concentration I am interested in, so it's not just for the sake of being different.

I am just wondering whether concentration will matter.

Your degree will still read "Bachelor of Science in Biology".

It won't matter.

You will be most successful in the concentration that you are interested in. Do what you want without thinking of what others are doing. You should have plenty chance to stick out in college. If you were really concerned about that, you wouldn't have chosen bio as a major.
