Guys, what did you use to do very well on the Bio section? I have a pretty good grasp of Physics, Orgo and Chem. It's just Bio (mainly cuz I think I crammed well in Gen Bio1/2 that I can't remember it that well.) I'm looking at Kaplan's big book for the OAT and comparing them to my notes from General Biology. Does anyone feel as if the OAT Kaplan book doesn't go into as much detail as their previous classes? Is it supposed to be this general or should I also be supplementing studying Bio with Kaplan + other resources?

Any help would be appreciated!

Supplement biology with everything you can. The questions are easy but specific. It doesn't matter how easy a question is if you have never seen the material. Focus on topics such as cell organelles and what they all do, DNA replication, transcription, translation, anatomy and physiology, and other topics people have suggested on here. Try to expose yourself to as much of the material as you possible can before test day. Use anything you want to study as long as you are getting what you need out of it.

I used the OAT Destroyer and did all 500+ questions. I used the OAT Achiever to see the topics in Biology I was weak in and researched that info in my old biology / ap material . I raised this section 50 points between my first OAT and second OAT attempt by doing this. Kaplan was useless for Biology.

What did you use for material wise? I'm not sure what to be using that isn't too in detail but isn't so broad (like Kaplan)

It's in there! OAT Destroyer for practice questions and OAT Achiever for practice tests. I used cliff AP biology book if I needed to learn any material beyond questions
