Hello, I'm an RN with an ADN (associate's degree in nursing)from a community college. I already have Anatomy & Phys. 1,2 and Micro. These three will all transfer to my University at the Bio 200 level. Should these take care of my one year of "general Bio." prereq. for most med schools or do I need to take the year of 100 level Bio?

By the way, these are the only of the main sciences I plan to use from the community college, in case you planned on questioning that. I know the University classes are preferred. Thanks!

Some schools want to see an "intro to cellular and molecular biology class" as part of the bio pre-req. However, your best bet would be to email the schools you are looking at to see what they think. I had a similar question and the schools I emailed were happy to answer it. Email the director of admissions directly.

Good luck!

Thanks for the advice. I was thinking about doing that, but I'm probably going to have to email a bunch of schools...oh well.

Many schools will not accept A&P for the bio pre-req also, the MCAT does not test any anatomy...you will be best served by taking an upper leve cell and molec class.
