My logic was as concentration is increasing, inhibition is decreasing in compound B, so it's less effective?

it requires less of 1b to achieve the same level of effectiveness (inhibition percentage).

to achieve 20% inhibition, it requires roughly 1,000 nM of 1a (~10 ^ 3) but only 10 nM of 1b ( ~ 10 ^ 1), so 1b is more effective.
 
This is random but, What do you think about the GS exams by the way?

For the old exam they were typically though of to be good for Physical sciences...
