For me, I correlated the topics in Cliffs with BB and studied both of them simultaneously. By that I mean I'd read KBB for genetics first. Then read Cliff right after and take notes on both of them. I felt like KBB was general and vague enough for you to get a grasp of the material before reading Cliffs that threw little details at you about the topic. I've seen a lot of people use Barron's. Um, tried to watch Chad's bio but they kind of fail mainly because you can tell Chad isn't very passionate about biology in general. Also I'd definitely suggest Destroyer, if not for the chemistry for biology. They really go into depth with their answers in the bio sections and construct questions in a way that you learn more about the topic than the question is asking.

Barron's AP bio is a popular alternative/addition to those materials.

Barron's AP was my favorite bio study book, and it's cheap on amazon!

I used Barron's AP, Cliff's AP, and then KBB bio (which stunk, btw). It was enough.

I don't really see the use in studying Barrons and Cliffs, the material is so similar, Cliffs is just in more detail. What's the use in having them both?

Barrons has some details that Cliffs misses and vice versa. I'd say it's about a 90% overlap but you never know when material from that other 10% might show up on the exam.

Depending how patient you are, I've put together a set of notes that combines Cliffs, Barrons, KBB, Examkrackers (merged together from notes that other users have posted on here - Bangity, scsc7211, etc). It's 60 pages long but extremely thorough and will cover all those extraneous details so you only need to review one material source and then use the notes to get the rest.

I would very much appreciate those notes.

Haha I'm glad to see they continue to grow. I predict that by next year there will be a 100 page biology behemoth floating around SDN.
