To all who have already taken the DAT or have already studied the BIO portion of the DAT.
Would someone be willing to post page numbers for either Cliff's AP biology book that is relevant to what we need to study for the DAT. Or if that's too much trouble, just the relevant chapters?

Thank you!

just about all of it is like gold. they can really ask you any random thing on the DAT. the cliffs book actually goes into a little too much detail here and there, but aside from that, most of the topics are covered in like 5 pages each... what more could you want really? don't bother with the practice problems in there though. too easy, waste of time. if you are lazy and don't like making flash cards you could look at the problems as if they were flash cards I guess.

some of the pictures are a little too basic, most of the topics you should have a better understanding of, and some of the topics aren't covered, such as classical conditioning and other behaviors... oh and I don't think ecology is too big either. its a good book to fully refresh your memory if you've already learned the stuff 4 times like I have. swear I haven't learned anything new since AP bio in 11th grade almost 7 years ago. and yet I still don't have that thing memorized... probably just my faulty wired brain😕

Thanks so much for your input dude. I keep hearing people having these Campbell's books, but I seen the ones on line and they are huge. They must contain too much information. Maybe I'll swap back and forth with shaum's?

the campbell book is the actual text book. this is the book that most universities teach off of. that one book is usually covered through 3 or 4 classes. basically a years worth of bio class. so yes, its got a TON of information in it. and it was NOT written by one person. so I think its safe to say that there isn't even a single person that knows everything in that book. I dunno, it just makes me feel better about my self 🙂
