biochem in summer session

hello.
I would love to hear from those who have taken biochem (not the super hardcore one, just the one semester class) during summer session.
Did you feel you learned enough (not sure what is enough, but whatever you think enough is)
Hmm.. I would just like some past experiences.

I had an interesting experience taking biochemistry during the summer. Summer session classes are only 5 weeks long at my university and my professor became ill for an entire week. The school lagged in finding a substitute so we just didn't have class (no TA showed up, no professor, nobody!) I DID NOT learn enough material, but I took advanced biochemistry to fill in the gaps.
 
I just took biochem last semester and it would certainly be worth taking it full sem rather than during the summer. Most of the gen biochem classes cover a lot of material requiring memorization of mechanisms, etc and it might be difficult learning all of that material in such a short of time. This reason alone is why my university does not offer biochem classes during the summer.
