I am planning on taking summer school soon at a local CC. I looked at some Pod schools and noticed that for some schools, like Scholl and DMU, you can replace Orgo 2 with biochem. I was wondering if anyone who has gotten accepted into Podiatry school replaced their Orgo 2 requirement with biochem. Other suggestions are also appreciated. Thanks!

Honestly I'd eventually take both. I would just take orgo 2 so you'll be eligible for all schools. And both orgo 2 and biochem will be helpful for the MCAT

I think that is a fairly new rule, so you probably won't find many people who have done it and been accepted this cycle.

Sweatshirt's reasoning is sound.

You want to take both if you can. Biochem is on the MCAT....we take it in pod school....and honestly if you got through gen chem and orgo in undergrad you should be able to handle a semester of biochem. Don't just do the minimum.

I totally agree with the posts above. I thought I did the clever thing in avoiding biochem (since I had my Orgo 2) but I struggled with it in pod school. Think of it as this, pay now or pay later.
