hey - does anyone have a good source where i can find a summary sheet of the biochem pathways? lippincott has it broken down into sections but i'd like to find a source where everything is one page so i can relate everything together...
thanks....

maybe you can photocopy and then cut and paste the diagrams from lippincotts. did you look at pg.76 of lipp? it's got alot on that chart.

Step Up has a pretty good summary page of metabolic pathways...

Also, the following are from my super-secret source:

The Top 10 Most Important Enzymes

10) Branched Chain Ketoacid DH (MSUD; TLCFN)
09) HGPRT (salvage pathway; Lesch-Nyann)
08) Hexoseaminidase A
07) Methylmalonyl CoA mutase (B12 dependent)
06) Homocysteine Methyl Transferase (B12 dependent)
05) UDP-Glucoronosyl Transferase (Criggler-Najjar; etc)
04) Vit. K dependent Carboxylase (bleeding; etc)
03) DHFR (Lots of Pharm directed at this)
02) HMG CoA Reductase
01) G-6-PD

Good luck everyone!!

go to:
http://aamm.unm.edu

Then click on biochem, and toward the bottom of the page will be a sheet with rate limiting steps (author is "various"). It has enzymes and regulators, but it is very short and to the point.

Which reminds me.... I really should memorize that sheet in the next 6 days!

Good luck :luck:
