I didn't study from any book for Biochem besides First Aid and Step Up. I thought that was find for biochem. Just be sure to know the biochem stuff of clinical significance. When First Aid doesn't bother telling you the name of certain enzymes in certain reactions, don't bother looking them up because the names probably aren't going to be on Step I.

I have "heard" that High Yield Biochem doesn't contain enough nutritional-based info (saw that on a post in this forum).

I am going w/ the Lippincott Biochem text. Yes, it's a large text, however, I figure there will be plenty of stuff in there I already know so I can skim through a great deal of it quite rapidly and focus in on the tougher stuff.

Hmm, if it helps that is my strategy. I actually bought the web pass course from Kaplan. I plan to watch the lectures with the notes one time and then review over them two more times along with First Aide.
