Hey guys.. Just say hi to everybody here,

could you guys recommend some study aid/suggested readings for biochemistry..

just started to take this course.. but feel like a kindergarten-kid reading the repubilc =🙂eek:

thank you so much

😍

Principles of Biochemistry by Lehninger is the best book I have owned. This is the text we are using in my Biochem class and I really love how it is written. It has so many examples of health related issues in the biochemistry of the human body. I am so glad my professor uses this. I am surprisingly loving this class.

I used Lehninger's book as well in my biochem class. Its an awesome book ! If don't have biochem text yet, you should get this one. good luck.

Principles of biochemistry by lehninger is a great book. I used it as an ugrad and am now in grad school using it in my biochem class. Oddly enough, while I was contemplating how much I lucked out that my grad class at a different U is using the same book ($110) i saw a guy at a small liberal arts college reading it. i.e. everyone uses this book b/c its the best. it comes with a cd-rom that I think is great.

i used voet, voet and pratt's biochemistry text in my biochem course. while i didn't love the text itself, the student companion did a pretty decent job of summarizing the main points made in the text. but i'd only suggest purchasing that if you use vvp in your class.

I am also taking biochem. I purchased Schaum's Outlines for Biochem. It made my reading alot more understandable.
