BioChem with or without lab?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Well, all the bichem classes they offer at my school have a lab included, it isn't even an option to take without lab, which is kind of lame...I know on most of the sites though, they say 3 credits of biochem, so I would presume that meant without lab. Don't forget you see biochem again in dental school, so i'm school doing the lecture plus lab is a good prep.

Some schools want you to only have an introductory knowledge of Biochem and some want you to have the Biochem with lab under your belt. A few schools I know of don't even teach Biochem anymore but require you to have a good understanding for the boards. (VCU, boards after first year)

Best advice I can give you is to call your schools and ask. My buddy at UNLV took an online Biochem course that was very basic, and that was all he needed because he was going to get it in his first semester. So call your schools and see what they require and go from there. 👍

I took biochem without the lab, and it was fine, I got in.
You shouldnt need a lab with it unless it is required for your major.
