For those of you who took biochem in undergrad:

Did it make it significantly easier when you took it in dental school?

I took biochem I and II in undergrad

During D1,
Biochem Exam 1 covered everything from biochem I.
Bioochem Exam 2 covered everything from biochem II.

We had 5 exams.

It will get you something. But it will not likely carry you completely.

I don't know about significantly easier but it does help get your feet wet. If I never took biochem before, I would feel slightly overwhelmed the first couple weeks.

I may take it if I have the time. Any bit helps I'm sure.

I'm assuming that you are going to attend UW this fall.
I took biochem back in undergrad and it did help with the concepts. What you really hope for is that the instructors at your dental school will not ask you to identify the molecular structure.

Generally speaking, any class taken in undergrad will give you some sort of advanced standing. You likely won't remember details but a prior general understanding of the concepts will go a long way towards remembering the details.
