I've heard that CHEM 153A at UCLA is a notoriously tough course ... how about through the UCLA Extension?

All extension XL courses have the same curriculum as regular UCLA classes. XL 153A is a hi-memorization class but not tough conceptually. You do have to spend a fair amount of time on it, but if you plan on going to vet school it should not be a problem.
